A MAN in his 30s struck gold after winning RM3mil in the Big Sweep lottery ticket, reported Sin Chew Daily.

He bought the ticket at a food court in Bayan Lepas.

Pan Malaysian Sweeps Sdn Bhd said the man just wanted to contribute to charity as all surpluses from Big Sweep would be donated to Yu Cai Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to nurturing talent through education.

The daily reported that the man was unaware that he was the winner. It was only until Pan Malaysia Sweeps advertised in the local dailies that it was looking for the winner from Penang that the man realised he had won it.
